For the inaugural Neighbors Fair, SHANGHAI SEMINARY brings Caitlyn Min-ji Au to decorate a bathroom with a vase, a basin, et cetera.

Caitlyn Min-ji Au is a Chicago-based artist from Portland, Oregon. She holds an MFA from the University of Chicago and a BFA in Glass from the Rhode Island School of Design. Au has given artist talks at Princeton University, the University of Wisconsin, the Harwood Museum of Art, and Experimental Sound Studio, and has completed residencies at Santa Fe Art Institute, Laboratory, and Art Farm.

SHANGHAI SEMINARY presented Au’s first solo exhibition Panda in 2025. She participated in the opening exhibition of W.I.H.S.H. projects (Chicago) in 2024. Her most recent solo exhibition Winter Garden was at the Broodthaers Society of America (New York City) from February 8th to April 5th, 2026.
