Isaac's and Feifei's Wedding
Ceremonies
August 17th, 5pm
"Now Feifei is in her white dress. How classic she thought! The heel is intolerable. Isaac is in his Burberry suit. He reckons the suit is grand, not tailor made though. Ready-to-wear is good enough. He stands straight looking around. Love is an act of? They forgot what love is. Who would’ve thought this is a wedding for Asians and white Americans. Are all weddings grand? They sure have been to loads of grand weddings. Isaac thought of that one in Provincetown, next to the Atlantic. That sure was grand. The all-you-can eat oyster bar was grand indeed. Feifei is thinking she could’ve been there if she weren’t back home to China. That one was between an Asian and a white American as well. Yes, grand and beautiful. She agrees even though she wasn’t there. Love is an act of faith! He recollected. But there’s something following that. So is? Are their weddings going grand? Are them hollowed and emptied out like a tool? Is tool the correct word? The formal aesthetic is identical to the grand ones they have been to, and that’s something. Love is an act of faith, so is art! They still feel nothing is off. 'Art is an act of faith, so is love.' Sandra said that." — Zj Pan
